InsuringFlorida.org is a Web site of the Florida office of the Insurance Information Institute (I.I.I.). The mission of the I.I.I. is to improve the public’s understanding of insurance – what it does and how it works.
Supported by the insurance industry and founded in 1960, the New York-based I.I.I. is recognized nationwide by the media, academia, public policymakers and consumers as a primary source of information, analysis and referral concerning insurance. The I.I.I. does not lobby. The Florida office of the I.I.I. was established in 2008 to provide a resident contact for media and organizations, with an offices in Tampa.

Lynne McChristian
Helping people understand their insurance coverage and the issues surrounding the challenges insurers face in the country’s most hurricane-prone state defines the role of the I.I.I. in Florida. Lynne McChristian has lived in Florida since 1989. She works with consumer groups and the media to build knowledge and provide informational resources and analysis related to property/casualty insurance and life insurance.
