Preparing for a Hurricane

Hurricane Season runs from June 1 – November 30. That’s half the year, and it doesn’t matter if forecasters predict a “normal” season or one that is very active. Hurricanes have a way of ignoring forecasters and toying with technology used by scientists. The potential for a major hurricane strike can occur in any year –even one that is predicted to be mild. A hurricane will eventually come; it could be this year or decades from now. Living in Florida requires a mindset of preparedness. Look at the disaster preparedness guides from the Institute for Business & Home Safety. Take action. Every single step toward getting the right insurance and protecting your property and family is a move in the right direction.
